Swamped

I'm flooded with work load these days. I just got back from two tradeshows. It's really tiring. The travel is okay but the work is not. But I'm not complaining. Another show is set for this week. This time it's here in Manila. Getting a temporary staff and hiring a van to deliver all the stuff was easy. But preparing all the materials, coordinating with HK office and making decisions without the big boss approval is difficult.

Chief took a leave after the show in Bangkok to celebrate his birthday. He made a series of changes and wants all those changes ready before the show here in Manila. What's worse is that he will not send any AEs here to attend the show. According to him, the show here in Manila is not so big. So, I will do editorial and sales at the same time. I remember one time someone told me that our magazine can get more ads if I'm the one selling the ads. Of course, I know that it was just a gag to get away with my colleague’s proposal. I'm not a sales person. I may not be the best editor but I think I will stick to this job for as long as I can.
