Scribbles

I want to scribble again after a period of dryness for words. Now that my daughter is eight months old, I can hear the call of ideas shouting inside my head again. Although I have not put my way of expressing a thought into practice, I’m willing to give it another shot. With a bit of luck, I wish to be enthused once more.

Wendy

I went to see my former officemate, Weng, in Bulacan this morning. I must admit I was so touched by the way her family welcomed me. She and her sister fetched me at SM City and even brought me home after. Their hospitality was so indescribable. Her lola cooked Kare-kare and inihaw na squid for lunch. At 2pm, her mom made nachos with cheese, beef and salsa, at 4pm her mother prepared carbonara, while her sister grilled some hotdogs on stick.

By the time I was ready to go home, I couldn’t move my butt anymore because I was so full. Take note, I even brought home some bananas from their tree. As I walked down from their car, I can't help but feel so thankful for her. Here I am losing a friend but gaining another one. The Lord does have a good humor. Still, I am not left empty handed.
